Sreekanth was 
born on 29-5-1976 at mavelikara.His father is Mr. R.R.C.Varma & his Mother is Mrs. Santhadevi.
He started learning chenda at the age of ten. First gurus were late Ariyannoor Narayanan Nampoothiri, late Varanasi Madhavan nampoothiri. He participated in many school and college Festivals and won prizes. After passing Pre-Degree, he jointed at Kerala Kalamandalam, Cheruthuruthy. He got the Diploma and Post-Diplomas from there. He got the Moothamana Award for Best chenda student. He was awarded the Scholarship for young Artists from Government of India.
Now Sreekanth is established as a young chenda artist among kathakali lovers. He got the oppourtunity to accompany many vetrans in kathakali field in there perfomences. Sreekanth is very ambitious and hard working.
