After passing 7th, he learned Kathakali in P.S.V. Natyasangham, Kottakkal for 12years. Has practised under P.T. Krishnan Kutty Nair. Now he is working in the same Institution. His expertise is in "Thadi" characters.
Has performed Kathakali all around Kerala and India and in foreign countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China and Korea.
