Kalamandalam Achutha Warrier was born on 30/5/1968 at Cheppad in Alappuzha District. His father is Sri. A. Sankara Warrier and mother Smt. Ms. Sreedevi Amma. He started his Kathakali Maddalam lessons first under the guidance of Sri. Evoor Kuttappan Nair and arangettam was conducted at Vettikulangara Temple, Cheppad. Later on in 1985 he joined at Kerala Kalamandalam and completed his Diploma during 1989 under the guidance of Sri. Narayanan Nambeesan and Sri. Nelluvai Narayanan Nair etc.

Sri. Kalamandalam Achutha Warrier performed his performance all over Kerala, other states in India and abroad. He visited foreign countries viz., Canada, America, South America (Venezuela), Dubai etc.

He is the recipient of many awards for his performance including Award by Kottayam Kaliyarangu (Manganam Ramapisharadi Award - 2005), Award by Alappuzha District Kathakali Club (Kalarcodu Narayanan Nair Smaraka Award 2012-13), Sree Vallabha Puraskaram, Thiruvalla etc.
