Lakshmi N. Pillai commenced Bharatanatyam training at the tender age of 4, under the guidance of Guru Kum. Geetha Nagaraj, Navya Sangama, Bangalore-84 and made her 'Arangettam (Ranga Pravesha)' when she was just eight years. She had given over more than 100 performances in Karnataka, Chennai and Kerala including Asianet TV.

Lakshmi has received many merit certificates and momentous in school level and various organizations. Recently she received "Aralu Malliage Award" from Karnataka Prathibhavardhaka Academy.

She passed her Karnataka Govt. Bharatanatyam Junior Grade Examination with 1st class (74% marks) in 2004. However, there is more to Lakshmi than just Bharatanatyam. She is a 9th standard student in Evershine High School, Bangalore-84 and doing Mohiniyattam, Veena, Classical music and Keyboard.
